The requirements for this excellent opportunity are as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of related experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of ADP (internet version), Peoplesoft HRMS a plus and knowledge of Reportsmith and/or Crystal reports
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, garnishments and wage payment laws

A Leading Financial Service Company located in New York is searching for a Payroll Manager who will handle the following responsibilities: |
| Duties |
- Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 300 exempt and 25 non-exempt employees
- Multi-state processing
- Reconciliation of payroll entries and payroll reports
- Manage the payroll tax function
- Work with payroll consultant to implement ADP
- Develop policies, procedures and controls
- Run and confirm deduction calculations
- Maintain vacation requests and prepare weekly payroll
- Review and balance weekly polled hours
- Maintain and file payroll reports, bi-weekly register, bi-weekly summary and monthly summary
- Assist staff with input of various payroll information such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, benefit days, etc.
- Assist with the completion of employment verifications - Provide good customer service with each internal customer; handle payroll issues
- Run weekly and annual accrued benefit process
- Input benefit days: holidays, sick pay, vacation pay, personal days, bereavement and birthdays
- Monitor status of the payroll duties such as new hires, terminations, benefit day payments, etc.
- Monitor the filing of all payroll paperwork: new hires, terminations, timesheets, union cards, etc.
