| Function |
A Leading Retail Company located in Philadelphia, PA is searching for a Senior Income Tax Accountant who will be responsible for the following: |
| Duties |
- Federal and state income tax compliance
- Interaction with external providers to prepare tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions, yearly and quarterly tax provision and filing franchise and annual reports/returns
- Interface with many taxing authorities, store and field associates and our accounting, legal and real estate departments
- Obtain information from our various internal financial systems
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions/FAS 109 calculations and analyze the income tax payable, deferred tax and effective tax rate
- Timely completion and filing of quarterly estimates
- Timely completion and filing of extensions
- Assist our outside vendor in compiling all the information to prepare the above returns
- On a quarterly basis review of separate company financials
- Prepare the year state apportionment work papers
- Prepare data for all state and federal audits
- Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing agencies
- Maintain tax calendar for all filings above
- Research the tax impact on business transactions
- Analysis of general ledger accounts
- Maintain and update files to be in compliance with SOX requirements
- Participate in special projects as needed
