We are searching for candidates that meet the following requirements:
- 4-year degree in Accounting and CPA or CPA candidate
- 2+ years experience with public accounting firm
- Audit and Sox 404 experience and SEC exposure
- Exposure to taxes a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to multi-task; must work well under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Peoplesoft and/or BNA software knowledge a plus.

A Service Company located in Bergen County, New Jersey has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:
|
| Duties |
- Assist in the preparation of the company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings
- Prepare the quarterly financial statements
- Prepare the company’s consolidated trial balance and financial statements on a monthly basis
- Prepare the company’s quarterly audit package and be a key point of contact for our auditors
- Review with department heads on a monthly basis – actual vs. budget; review and discuss their rolling projections
- Prepare corporate journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analyses on a monthly basis
- Assist internal auditors with company’s SOX testing
- Prepare and reconciliation of all of the company’s stock compensation entries and activity
- Prepare ad hoc reports/analysis for senior management/department heads as needed
- File SEC documents electronically through the EdgarFilings software package
- Assist in the preparation of state and federal tax returns
