Client is a growing pharmaceutical company located in Northern California specializing in the discovery and development of polymer-based therapeutics. 

Process Chemist Responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out scaleable synthetic routes for development candidates arising from Discovery Chemistry


• Synthesize and purify compounds to support pre-clinical programs


• Optimize processes and identify and implement improvements to existing processes


• Transfer synthetic procedures and process to CROs/CMOs


• Oversee and manage pilot plant and large scale manufacturing at CROs and CMOs


• Manage manufacturing of Clinical Trial Materials. Review Manufacturing Procedures


• Work closely with Analytical Development to develop in-process and API test methods to ensure quality

Qualifications and Experience:

·         PhD/MS in Organic/Polymer Chemistry or related discipline

·         A minimum of 5 years experience in a GMP environment

·         Knowledge of FDA and ICH guidelines

·         Willing to travel inside the US and internationally

·        Prior experience working and managing CROs/CMOs a plus
