Exciting opportunity to join a start-up company in Houston, TX as the Vice President of Clinical Processes.  The company is devoted to creating an information technology platform for cancer research utilizing cancer data integration, standardization and analysis to support the advancement of large-scale collaborative cancer research.  .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to analyze and formalize clinical processes performed during clinical operations and translate them into requirements for IT infrastructure and solutions.
  
• Provide guidance to software development teams and oversee communications with clinical operations staff.
  
• Lead, manage and execute the analysis of clinical processes
  
• Lead and execute the formal definition of clinical processes
  
• Manage communication with clinical Principal Investigators as primary point of contact

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in science or engineering
  
• 5+ years total experience in clinical/business process analysis
  
• Strong management experience
  
• Strong experience in the field of clinical operations and research
  
• Knowledge of BPA tools and techniques
  
• Knowledge of architecture and practical experience of clinical or research information systems
  
• Knowledge of clinical data standards such as HIPAA, FDA, NCI/caBIG, CDISC, & HL7
  
• Although based in Houston, TX, this individual must be able to travel across the United States, Europe, and Asia as needed
